Repairs to the Krukut River retaining wall on Jalan Canadianti in Pela Mampang Urban Village, Mampang Prapatan District, South Jakarta, are continuing to accelerate. The work has reached 50 percent progress.

Head of the Maintenance Section of the South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency, Junjung Paulus, said that the repairs are carried out to strengthen the embankment structure and anticipate river water overflowing into residential areas during heavy rain.

Junjung explained that the work involving third parties included repairing 163.2 meters of retaining wall with a height of more than three meters.
"Work has begun since July 7, 2026 and is targeted for completion on December 3," he explained.
Meanwhile, one of the local residents, Rahmat appreciated the repair of facilities that were previously damaged.
"Here, the inundation persists during heavy rain. Hopefully, with the reinforced retaining walls, the water will no longer overflow into residential areas," he admitted.
